The film was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War-Part 1. The Russo brothers Came on board to direct in April 2015, and a month later Marcus and McFeely signed to write the screenplay for the film, which is inspired by Jim Starlin's 1991 comic book Infinity Gauntlet and Jonathan Hickman's 2013 comic book Infinity. In 2016, Marvel shortened the title to Avengers: Infinity War. Filming began in January 2017 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia, with a large cast consisting mostly of actors reprising their roles from McCue's previous films, including Brolin as Thanos. Production continued until July 2017, shooting back-to-back with a direct sequel, Avengers: Endgame (2019). Additional filming took place in Scotland, the downtown Atlanta area and New York City. With an estimated budget of 325-400 million dollars, the film is one of the most expensive of all time
Avengers: Infinity War premiered in Los Angeles on April 23, 2018, and was released in the United States on April 27, as part of the third phase of MKO. The film received praise for Brolin's performance, visual effects, action sequences, and emotional weight. The film was the fourth film and the first superhero film to earn more than 2 billion dollars worldwide, breaking several box office records, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2018 and the fourth highest-grossing film of all time worldwide and in the United States and Canada. She received a nomination for Best Visual Effects at the 91st Academy Awards, among many other awards. A sequel , Avengers: Endgame, was released in April 2019

Infinity War is one of the most ambitious projects of Marvel Studios. He is the one who will bring together the most superheroes on the screen with a 5-star cast. It was planned that it would be the first part of a double film but the idea is abandoned during the writing process when they realize that the two films are different, even if they remain linked to each other

The two films are nevertheless shot at the same time to facilitate the arrival of the actors and actresses, who have an extremely busy schedule. No members of the cast had the same script in order to blur the lines of the plot and avoid any leaks. The majority of them return for their roles, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pratt, Chadwick Boseman etc ... Josh Brolin also returns to play Thanos, the big bad of the two films

Overall, the feature film received very good reviews and was a hit around the world. For an estimated budget of between 316 and 400 million dollars, it brought in more than two billion. It was the fourth (before the release of Endgame) greatest success in the history of cinema ahead of Jurassic World and the first Avengers
As is often the case with Marvel Studios films, I loved it. But this one is different, I think that currently, it is my favorite out of the 18 other films released before him. Everything is here, the long-awaited big meeting, dantesque action scenes, epic and cosmic stakes, surprises, tears and a memorable villain

Regarding the latter, this is for me the big highlight of the film. Thanos. A villain that they announced from the post-credits scene of The Avengers (and during other chapters of the MCU). They must not have missed it, because if this character was, the whole film would have been too. But this is not the only positive thing about the film, we can talk about the ending that surprised everyone and shocked (to the point of sticking to the seat), the fans of this universe. The interactions between the many characters are very successful, as is the humor, a little less present than usual but very well dosed. And finally, another thing that they should not miss (and this is not the case), the demonstration of the different powers of the stones of the infinite, they are skillfully shown and very successful in terms of effects

Precisely, speaking of effect. This is one of the few flaws I can make in the film. Some special effects are "visible" and sometimes make a little stains with the rest of the feats achieved. We are still far from a Black Panther-style digital understudy fight. We could also note some main characters who are in retreat in this film but with so many characters on the screen, it is difficult to do otherwise and one thing tells me that they will have a lot of time to shine during the last Avengers which will be released in a few months. Avengers: Endgame. Which will be the end of an era for the MCU
