Pridator

 Shane Black "Predator" is a fun, brutal, fighting machine who wastes no time getting down to business—no different from his title character. It's not great for lost dialogue or too many attempts at meta-humor, playing both like a movie homage/throwback to the action of the '80's and something that feels fresh and New. There is nothing pretentious or whimsical here as we often see in films that almost parody the '80s action instead of trying to figure out why these films endured in the first place. It's easy to imitate something or make fun of it. It is much more difficult to ask why the first" predator " caught lightning in a bottle and then tried to catch it again. With a great cast and sharp pacing, the truth is that's what you want from a movie called Predator

Black does not waste any time, and the film opens on a predatory ship rushing towards Earth. A sniper named Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) is on duty when he practically collides with an escape pod containing one of the mythical creatures. McKenna gets his hands on some alien equipment, sends some of it home and hides a very nasty piece, well, somewhere no one will find it. Instead of going to his mailbox, the mail ends up on his doorstep, where his son Rory (Jacob Tremblay) opens the package, finding a weapon and a predatory mask

Meanwhile, a science teacher named Casey arc (Olivia Munn) is brought in to examine the predator that McKenna has hindered, and is pushed by an arrogant jerk named Trigger (Sterling K.The brilliant Brown, proving that he has to play villains more often). While this is about to predictably go, McKenna is put on a bus of fellow military prisoners, including Nebraska (trivante Rhodes, who should be an action star if there is any justice), Cowell (Keegan-Michael Key), Baxley (Thomas Jane), Lynch (Alfie Allen), and nettles (Augusto Aguilera). Nicknamed "the maniacs", the gang eventually makes contact with Casey, and they all try to catch up with the Predator before he reaches Rory to retrieve his things

Co-written by another ' 80's icon Fred Decker, This is a film that perfectly understands and pursues what its audience wants, something that more filmmakers could learn from black. There's a rhythm and structure to" predator " that's easy to take for granted but much harder to pull off than people would likely give this movie credit for. It's the way black jumps from beat to beat, giving each character just enough dialogue and development for them to score more bodies for the predator to hunt but not lingering long enough for viewers to get impatient. Lions are largely helped by an incredibly charismatic cast, and knows how to amplify their strengths. Holbrook and Rhodes are the friendly action movie duo you never knew, Moon owns herself (although her character takes a back seat in the second half), and Jane and Key are a fun comic treat

Putting that aside, what really elevates "predator" above the disaster it could easily have been is the way black and Decker manage the tone. They tend to the old-fashioned side of " predator "in that they are clearly trying to recreate the rag crew from the first film to a certain extent, but they are also playing with a few other essential elements of the action films of the" 80s such as "the kid who knows more than adults about aliens" and " the initially tough government guys who will eventually need the help of our hero to survive. However, the" predator " never plays like a pure parody. You can get the feeling that Black really likes this metaphor

But the" predator " loses its strength by the time it reaches its peak. Some of the final scenes are chaotic in terms of editing, especially when compared to what happened before. I liked some of the previous static pieces more, where we get to know the characters, especially the initial predator outbreak and a great scene with-wait for it-predatory dogs. Yes, this movie has predatory dogs. Dear reader, you probably know whether to watch a movie with predatory dogs or not. If you do, I can not imagine that you will not be happy with this

He is tall, muscular, has great hair and uses thermal imaging to track his prey. We didn't say his name, but you thought of him: predator. The robot alien that hit the big screen in the ' 80's has evolved into a beloved movie monster, a very terrifying one, at that. The Predator films are some of the most popular science fiction films, but science fiction has long been a popular genre across media platforms. The Predator will star in a cast of celebrities, including Olivia Munn, Sterling K.Brown , and Jacob Tremblay, who will inevitably scream and run away from the newly developed deadly species determined to kill them. But we miss the old predator; straight from the go predator; shredding the soul predator. This second installment of crossover specials has its pros and cons. Pro: predaline is badass and heralds a new era of horrifically powerful movie monsters. Con:this movie is about as cheesy as science fiction movies. Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem is the follow-up Alien Vs Predator, and fell pretty flat with audiences and critics alike. The film follows another predator who travels to earth to contain the breeding of a hybrid Predator/alien species. Although disappointing to fans, it feels like a natural evolution of the tangled AFP network being woven within the entire Predator franchise, and requires minimal brain power or knowledge of its predecessors. A more modern take on the original film, Predator 2 brings the Predator action out of the jungle and into the booming city of Los Angeles. Danny Glover plays an LAPD officer who confronts the predator because he kills the people closest to him, before choosing Glover as his ultimate target. The plot of the typical policeman versus the bad guy is made a little more interesting by the ruthless hunting skills of the predator, but the relatively peaceful ending shows that Glover kills the Predator before his comrades carry him on their spaceship, in honor of death. The perception of the nobler side of the beast is not quite the sequel that fans were expecting, but in the sad '90 camp it made it something less than a cult classic

The 2004 installment of the Predator series takes place in Antarctica, where a group of researchers are caught in the crossfire of a predator hunting ritual that involves killing—you guessed it—xenomorphs from the equally notorious science fiction film franchise, Alien. Although it is not quite as popular as the 1989 comic book that inspired it, FB (as the kids call it) portrayed one of the most recognizable and well-known rivalries in the entire science fiction genre. Starring Adrien Brody and Alice Braga, predators follows a group of diverse assassins who are dropped in the middle of a game reserve on an unknown planet where they are hunted by various forms of predatory species. It took the" most dangerous game " to a completely new level and returned the franchise to its mystical and science fiction roots, introducing more cruel and advanced predators to torment the heroes. The reward in this film was the shockingly good performance of saving grace, but this episode of predator puts a pleasant original twist on the original premise of the series
"Here he's looking at you, kid," it may have been romantic, but no movie line will be as simple and eloquent as Arnold Schwarzenegger shouting, "go to the Shuba!"There is no denying that the film that started it all is the best in the series. Schwarzenegger, dub smack in the middle of his prime, leads a paramilitary team on a hostage rescue mission through the jungles of Central America, only to meet the bloodthirsty honoree, predator. The critical reception of the film during its release was less than positive, but a few years of re-viewing and realizing how fun the film really was made him worthy of an honorable legacy.
